Why is iodine included in the formula? I would think most people get plenty of iodine simply from using table salt, which is almost always iodized.
Good question. Most table salt is NOT iodinzed and pre salted foods such as fast food are not. If you purposely buy iodinzed salt you reach a tipping point where you get the iodine for all its wonderful health benefits but you push the upper limits of salt intake which isn't healthy.
If you have any type of thyroid condition, which most people have but are unaware, then you need high amounts of iodine which is why we include it.
