Executive Editor Tom Brevoort and writers Jonathan Hickman, Dennis Hopeless, Kieron Gillen and Remender gave us a summary of what Uncanny Avengers contained.  The comic book series is about Captain America bringing together a team of Avengers and X-Men.

This team is assembled with the intention of fighting the reborn Red Skull. Brevoort described the book as having “crazy insane-o in the brain-o” such as we witness in the opening page of the book.
About the purpose of the book, Hickman told that the idea was to compete with the Hollywood film made on this topic and to offer the audiences something bigger than the movie. With this intention in mind, the team of writers included a new female Captain Universe, Hyperion, and a human Imperial Guard, a female smasher.

Brevoort said that the book is written in Hickman’s style that involves setting up many elements right at the beginning. Later, long term stories can be told with these elements. He later said that Marvel planning is afoot to write content for 3 to 4 years for Avengers.  About the content of New Avengers, Hickman told us that it will be about the superheroes that secretly rule the world, while letting the spotlight of saving the world be on the main Avengers team. Brevoort described Kelly Sue DeConnick’s Avengers Assemble series as “shot glass Avengers.” Brevoort said that the rivalry between Hulk and Iron Man will feature in the first ark of the book. The second arc Widow’s Ledger will be about dealing with the Black Widow’s past sins taking help from Hawkeye and Spider-Woman.

Remender, while rehashing the details of Uncanny Avengers, said that the both his books and Hickman’s Avengers books will have Kang as many characters playing a larger role.

Nick Spenser and Luke Ross are also writing Secret Avengers. This book will have Nick Coulson of the Marvel movie universe. His job will be to combine S.H.I.E.L.D with the avengers in new manner. Hopeless told that his Avengers Arena series will feature many Marvel teenage superheroes fighting each others.
Gillen revealed that his Young Avengers series will include new characters such as Kid Loki, Hulking, Wiccan, Noh-Varr and Hawkeye. He told that Alan Heinberg’s series is about the things involved in being a superhero of 16 years of age.
